More info about how and why I drew the  colors wizard tarot

The wizard of colors is my father who transmitted me his love of hues, tints, colors and showed me how they could enchant the world.

My meetings with the tarot
When I was 20, someone gave me a Marseille tarot and I began reading the cards for some of my friends. I was soon frightened by the power it gave me over them. So frightened that I stopped.
For its name and its beauty, I bought the Visconti tarot .
One of my nieces told me how she enjoyed being read the cards.

Interest of the tarot
Tarot must not be taken with exceeding seriousness. It is just a light hand to guide one.
The arcanas are helpful to clarify a problem or a question because of their powerful evocative power. They are trumps,  solution cards.
In the first games, trumps were called triumphi, triumphs. It clearly  meant that they were very useful cards to play if you wanted to achieve success in life’s game.
They are precious symbolic tools to begin a conversation and be able to look at situations with other perspectives. Reading tarot is some sort of playful coaching. Tarot helps to see the future more clearly because it enlightens the consultant, mostly over himself.
The discussion around the cards enables one to imagine possible paths to solve problems.
The reflection over an iconography loaded with meaning allows one to think over oneself, one’s way of advancing in life and  one’s strength, weaknesses, wishes, authentic or not, reachable or not, potentially satisfying or not.How can I fulfill my life ?
What paths may I take to do so ?
What forces can I find in me or around me to go in the right direction  ?
What forces in me or around me can harm my progression ?

How I drew  my arcanas
I studied carefully the Visconti tarot  and the Rider Waite tarot. Then I  checked  the Marseille tarot. I supplemented this with research, mostly historical.I wanted to draw with no reference to mystical or numerological notions.
I wanted to draw clear, simple images with spontaneity and a certain form of naivety.
My references are the stories or moments in history that I experienced or that struck me plus my personal perceptions.
Through the symbols and characters chosen, each card is filled with positive vibes and good influences.
I hope that this tarot  speaks to those who use it in a joyful, caring way, in a voice that suggests and not decrees.
It starts with a very light and cheerful, carefree looking card and it ends with a new cheerful and light image with a playful touch. A loop happily closes.

I hope the arcanas I drew will enlighten you a little and  I hope you will spend agreable moments in their company.
