A glimpse of Parc Montsouris

My first painting of 2023.
I took a picture of a small corner of Parc Montsouris framing a rose which really looked like a rose, even looked like Saint-Exupéry little Prince’s rose. Striking. So striking that I decided to turn it into a painting.
But when I paint, things tend to go awry, to drift, to escape… And in the end, there is no rose in my painting.
