Pendant des années, j’ai eu envie d’illustrer ce poème d’Eluard. Je faisais du tri. J’ai regardé un long moment ce cercle fait plusieurs mois avant et l’élan est venu. Cette peinture appartient à la série rose de “Sur les pas du magicien des couleurs”.
For years, I have been willing to illustrate that poem of Eluard.
I was tidying.  I gave a good long look at that circle done a few months ago and the momentum came.
