This is my very first haiku and a painting done in the nineties. Is she drowning in green, some sort of Ophelia or emerging from it, symbol of nature’s power, spring, renewal ? As you like it.

Green, marshes’water
Eyes of drowned people, envy
Hope’s color also

Verte, l’eau des étangs
Le regard des noyés mais
L’espérance aussi
