Marie et l’enfant, mi-ange, mi-Jésus – Marie and the child, half-angel, half Jesus

Before the pink road, I painted that orange madonna. It has been partly inspired by a Matisse drawing. But it is also a tribute to the most striking color in my father’s production, orange. And indeed, this is the very first painting in the series following the color wizard. 70 x 50 cm, Mixed media, acrylic and pastel on canvas.

Avant la route rose, j’ai peint cette madonne orange. Le tableau a été partiellement inspiré d’un dessin de Matisse. Mais c’est aussi un hommage à la couleur la plus frappante dans la production de mon père. Et, en fait, c’est la véritable première peinture dans la série Sur les traces du sorcier des couleurs.
